1- What part of our vacation should we plan to parasail?
We encourage you to plan parasailing for the first part of your vacation. That way, if the weather is not on your side you will have other opportunities to fly.
2 - What’s the weather like in Rio de Janeiro?
Beautiful. The near perfect weather makes us proud to parasail here and call this home. It’s a true tropical paradise with high temperatures and really good conditions to fly throughout the year. However, keep in mind that for security reasons we do not fly if mother nature is not cooperating. Various factors are taken into consideration such as: Wind speed, swell, among others.
3 - Is parasailing scary?
Actually, it's quite the opposite, parasailing is very serene and peaceful. The take offs and landings are slow and gradual and after a certain point you no longer hear the engine of the boat, only the gentle sea breeze. You don't have to worry about having any frightening experiences.
4 - Is parasailing safe?
We do everything that is possible to ensure your safety. How? Always respecting the limits of nature, providing the best equipment and performing constant security checks. Your safety is our priority.
5 - Do we need to make reservations?
If you want to secure your place on the tour, yes. We advice you to book your reservation at least 24 hours in advance. Also make sure to book a place for your friends and family.
6 - How does parasailing work?
After getting outfitted with a life vest and harness, you're seated on the flight deck of the boat. Once seated, the first mate clips your harness to the parachute. Then up you will ascend really nice and smoothly, just like sitting on a swing set that slowly elevates you for the experience of a lifetime. And yes, all take offs and landings are done straight from the boat so you can stay dry if you prefer.
7 - How long does the excursion take?
The boat ride takes about 1.5 hours and the parassailing flight about 10 minutes. But, don´t worry, whilst the others are trying their hand at parasailing, you can kick back and relax on our boat. Transfers from your accomodation are included within the fixed price.
8 - Do I need prior experience?
Prior experience is not necessary. The captain and first mate do all the work for you. You just have to come prepared to have a good time.
9 - Do I have to get wet?
No, you don't have to get wet if you don't want to. Our way of flying is called controlled parasailing, meaning you take off and land smoothly right from the flight deck of the boat. If you opt for it, there is a fun wet part towards the end of your flight. The captain slows the boat down andwhich allows you to gently freefall, dipping your sun kissed feet in the water for a refreshing splash. You then land back safely on the boat deck.
10 - Can I go up with someone else?
Yes, we offer double flights. Choose a friend or family member to go up with you.
11 - What if I change my mind when I’m already on the boat?
You are free to change your mind at any time, but be sure that it will be very unlikely, we have never seen it happen before. You will be delighted with the energy of the flight and probably you´re gonna ask to fly again. Just to remind you, once on board, the flight is non-refundable.
12 - What should I wear?
Ladies: bathing suits are recommended but be sure to bring some clothes to wear over the top as it may get a little chilly at sea. Gentlemen: shorts/bathing suits and T-shirts are great. We also recommend flip flops and sandals, however if you prefer you can use sneakers or shoes. The boat has compartments to keep them.
13 - Can I take my camera up with me?
You are allowed to take a camera up at your own risk, and should take into consideration the height and water risks of dropping something of value. However, bringing your camera or not we recommend you hire our automated service of digital photos and videos which are in HD resolution located at strategic points to ensure your best angle for the entire flight .
14 - What photo package do you offer?
We offer a package of approximately 100 digital photos with HD quality taken during the flight with the price of R$ 50,00 and a service video with HD quality about 10 minutes too for R$ 50,00. Everything will be sent to your email with download link.
15 - What form of payment do you accept?
We prefer cash payment , however, for your safety and convenience we also accept debit and credit cards. (Paypal?)
16 - Do I have to know how to swim?
No. Although it’s a very good idea since you will be participating in a watersport. Everyone who parasails must wear a life vest. And remember that getting wet is optional.
